Registration and booking

Before you actually register using the on-line registration and booking form, it is recommended that you should do the following:

• Look at the information regarding the five conference hotels and alternative accommodation in University student residences and decide on your order of preference for booking.
• Look at the information on the scientific tours (which will take place on Saturday 17th January 2009) and decide whether you wish to book on one of these.
• Have your flight information at hand (if you have already made flight reservations) so that you can provide this information if you require airport transfers.

Having done that, then please proceed to the on-line registration and booking form.

At the end of the on-line registration process you will be given an “access key” which will allow you to edit your own registration information and bookings as necessary.  The URL to access your registration and booking information is: https://ei.globalconf.co.za/ei/humboldt/edit.htm.

No VAT applicable, all registration fees are payable in South African Rands (ZAR).  Should you wish to see the rates in your own currency, please make use of the currency converter link on the left-hand side of this webpage.

The registration package includes the following:

• Access to the conference sessions from 11th – 16th January 2009
• Refreshments and lunch on 12th – 16th January 2009
• Welcome function Sunday, 11th January 2009
• Conference dinner 15th January 2009
• Conference pack including badge and conference papers and/or CD
• Transport between the conference hotels and residences and the meeting venue

• Registrations will only be validated if all monies are paid in advance
• All cancellations must be received in writing. If received before 4th December 2008, a full refund will be passed less a 15% administration fee. After this date no refunds will be processed, but delegates can be substituted.
• All payments to be made payable to Global Conferences Africa re Humboldt-5.
• No-shows and cancellations after 4th December 2008, will be liable for the full fee.
• The Conference Secretariat will acknowledge completed registration forms within 3 business days.
• Registrations are transferable to delegates not yet registered
